This is a sewing pattern for Women's Reversible Fingerless Gloves. This pattern also comes with a full picture tutorial that illustrates each step with excellent photos and very clear explanations.
Since this is an instant download, you can download the pattern immediately after your payment is complete.
The sewing pattern comes in a variety of sizes ranging from XS-L, and a separate PDF just for Plus Sizes. The sizes are based on the measurement of the widest part of your forearm, so if your forearm is anywhere from 8 inches- 16 inches around, I've got a size for you!
I've been wanting to make a Fingerless Glove Pattern for quite some time now. I kept saying to myself, "Hey, why should all the knitters and crocheters have all the fun making fingerless gloves!? Us sewers need to start sewing some fingerless gloves so we have some fun too!" Every girl deserves a fun, warm, and cozy pair of fingerless gloves, wouldn't you agree? Knitters and crocheters may have cable stitches and other fun stitches to play with, but hey, we have hounds tooth, chevrons, plaids, and sweater knits we can play with!
These gloves are made with stretchy fabrics such as: polar fleece, interlock knits, stretchy minky, sweat shirt knits, and sweater knits. Pretty much any stretchy fabric will work for this project.
You will NOT need a serger for this project. A basic home sewing machine that has the ability to sew straight stitches and zig zag stitches will work just fine.
This pattern requires 1 yard of exterior fabric and 1 yard of lining fabric. Plus size gloves need about 1 1/2 yards of exterior and 1 1/2 yards for the lining. Fleece, minky or knit jersey are suitable fabrics to use.
Is this project suitable for beginners? Yes! A well thought out tutorial like I have put together will guide you through every step of the way. If you have questions about anything, you can always email me.
This is a fairly quick sewing project. You can sew up a pair of reversible gloves in a couple of hours once you get the hang of it. Fingerless gloves make for great gifts just for fun or for special occasions, even weddings!
If you would like to sell Fingerless Gloves from my pattern, you have my permission to do so, however a credit statement that says something like this: "Fingerless Gloves made from a Living DIY Style sewing pattern", with a link back to this store or my website- www.livingdiystyle.com would be greatly appreciated.
